We believe the motto of John Colet School is "A Place Where Everyone Belongs." Here at John Colet we value diversity, acceptance, and generosity. We encourage our students to reach their full potential by providing them with a positive educational environment that empowers them to make their own choices about what they want to study and how they want to apply those skills in the future.
John Colet School is committed to nurturing our children's minds and instilling a love of learning. We develop the whole child in a fun, safe, and stimulating environment where they can be themselves and make new friends. Our classrooms are dedicated to developing critical thinking skills through hands-on activities and real-world learning. Together we will build an educational foundation based on our common core values: respect, integrity, service, technology, inclusion and teamwork."
John Colet School is an independent, co-educational boarding and day school in Hampstead. It was founded in 1572 by Thomas Colet, a Cambridge graduate who had been ordained as a Jesuit priest and later became chaplain to Cardinal Wolsey. It was founded in 1965 by the Reverend Alistair Mackenzie, who became the headmaster in 1971. The school became fully independent in January 2007.
