The slimming of the hair on your scalp is known commonly referred too as alopecia, or more commonly referred to as hair loss. Hair loss can be both temporary and permanent as well as occur in both genders (although its more common in males). Naturally, your head is supposed to shed its locks. At any given time only about 90% of a person's head of hair is growing, while shedding hair. Such is normal, although sometimes it can "mess up" and you will lose more than normal. This then becomes a problem, and is caused by a few factors.
Hormone and estrogen imbalance is a major factor and correcting this can normally restore the hair back to its normal cycle. Sometimes certain medicines, such as those relating to heart problems, gout, high blood pressure, or anti-depressants can cause hair loss as well. Other meds include birth control pills and taking allot of vitamin A tablets. If you stop taking the medicines it may stop. Diseases are also another factor to hair loss. Diabetes and lupus sometimes starts, in its early stages, with hair loss. Thyroid diseases are another issue and if fixed with treatment in the early stages, the excessive hairless issue can be fixed.
There are different types of hair loss, the most common being when the hair thins out in the front and starts to move to the back of the scalp. "Male pattern baldness" (professionally known as Androgenic Alopecia) normally runs in the family. Alopecia Areata is another type of hair loss, in this case hair falls our completely leaving the scalp exposed. It grows from the size of a coin and eventually takes of your entire scalp. While there are no cures for Androgenic Alopecia, many treatments are available.
Treatments for hair loss are only a temporary solution. Perhaps the medicine you are ingesting is the cause, Hair Replacement Systems in which case a doctor may prescribe a different medicine for treating the same illness. If your find your hair is falling out, and not sure of the cause, seeing a doctor is strongly recommended. If anything, he or she can provide you with different medications that may fix the issue of hair loss. Finasteride, which can be available with a prescription, comes in tablets or pills and is mainly for men. Such a cure may take six months or less to work.
If pills and such do not work, do not fear. There are still many different options available to you. Wigs and hairpieces, hair weaves, and artificial hair replacements are very good options. Certain well-chosen hairstyles will assists in hiding the missing hair.
What about hair transplants? Hair transplantation has been greatly improved over the last decade, and when properly done, the result can look very natural. What is done is healthy hair gets transplanted into the bald patches of your scalp. Soon, you will find your hair growing again. With new technologies such as this, hair loss can be combated.

I have been experiencing hair loss for about ten years, I think this problem is caused by a genetic predisposition, I looked for a solution for this, but unfortunately I couldn't find a solution to hair loss, I think the only solution is hair transplantation, it's annoying, I play games to avoid thinking about it, playing games like footballlegends makes me forget about such things, I think my only fun is playing games.
