I have been wondering if there are people doing line breeding for traits other than color or pattern? Not just dominant / recessive genetics, but multiple generation projects.I know that some traits are line bred, like Boublel line Arizona Mountain kingsnakes, or Bartlett line Baja Mountain kings. (you can see my intrests here).But has anyone tried to breed lizard eating species (or fish, frog, etc..) to take pinky mice sooner, or as a first meal? The "hold backs" would be the individuals that accepted a pinky much sooner than others. Would multiple generations of this sort of trial work? For really small species like Scarlet kingsnakes, maybe accepting mouse tails or pinky parts might be the criteria? I would think that for small lizard eating species, a line that switches to pinks more readily would increase thier popularity.
Please help.
