Been thinking of getting a dog, would be first I've ever owned. However, a huge concern is that I'd be away from the dog 8-10 hours a day due to work. So is there a dog breed that exists that can be left alone for that long in an apartment on a daily basis? If not, no problem, I will look into goldfish or hamsters. But if so, I'd also like a breed that doesn't shed and doesn't slobber too much. Any recommendations?
