We have neighbors a few homes down that often let their dogs run in their backyard without a leash. Their property is not fenced. While fairly well trained, the one pooch likes to wander through our backyard to greet another neighbors dog that resides behind a fence. For the most part, this doesn't bother me that much. What does annoy me is when the husband or wife casually walks through my backyard to retrieve their dog. I'm not clear on why failing to keep your animal contained grants them permission to freely trespass.
I've never brought up the issue because I prefer to stay friendly, but it does irk me. We are not pet owners. Am I off base here?
Any help will be apprecited.
