🚨 Important notice regarding Pedigree Database
Recently, a user on our database was repeatedly bypassing the systems security measures most likely thanks to their IT skills.
Each time this behavior was flagged (our system reliably detects such activity), the user downplayed the situation and claimed it was a misunderstanding. Despite being warned multiple times to stop, the behavior kept recurring.
Yesterday we uncovered another related issue, and that was the final straw.
🔒 The user has been permanently banned from the Pedigree Database.
This is not merely about breaking standard rules that apply to every user. In this case, it involved deliberately circumventing database security mechanisms for personal advantage and to the detriment of other users.
We want to assure all fair users that we take security and a level playing field seriously, and this kind of conduct will not be tolerated.

Apologies for today's minor outages when creating pedigrees
We apologize to all Pedigree Database users for the intermittent errors that may have occurred today while saving dog pedigrees.
Throughout the day, we were intensively working on fixing a security issue that required significant time and temporarily affected the stability of the save process. The fix was necessary after we discovered that one user had been repeatedly bypassing standard protections and causing damage to the database.
The situation has now been resolved, and we have implemented additional safeguards to better protect all users data.

🐾 New feature on Pedigree Database: Ancestors Finder is now live!
A new tool has been added to Pedigree Database to make pedigree research and breeding analysis much easier.
🔎 Ancestors Finder allows you to select multiple dogs and find all dogs that have all selected dogs in their ancestry at the same time, across multiple generations.

What is it useful for?
✔ discovering where specific bloodlines meet
✔ analyzing shared ancestry quickly

fast autocomplete dog search,

display of how many generations away each ancestor appears.

📩 New Private Messaging Features on Pedigree Database
Weve improved the private messaging system on Pedigree Database to make communication faster and more convenient.
You can now:
✅ Navigate between messages using navigation buttons, so theres no need to return to the message list.
✅ Delete a message directly while reading it, without extra steps.

🔔 New Feature on Pedigree Database User Following 🔔
📍 Where can you find it?
A new button is now available directly on user profile pages.
Clicking it opens a modern popup window where you can manage the users you follow.
⚙️ What can you do in the popup?
✅ search for users by name
✅ add users to your following list
✅ view all users you currently follow
✅ unfollow users individually or in bulk
✅ use pagination for easy navigation (no endless scrolling)
📬 What activity is currently tracked?
At the moment, only one activity is tracked:
➡️ creating a new pedigree (adding a dog) by a user you follow
When a followed user creates a new pedigree, you will receive a notification.
This is just the beginning the following system will be expanded in the future.

📩 New feature in Private Messages Safe Delete & Trash
Weve just added a new security feature to the private messaging system:
🔹 Trash (Recycle Bin) and
🔹 Safe deletion instead of permanent removal.
From now on, when someone deletes a conversation, it is removed only from their own view and moved to Trash.
The message thread is physically deleted from the database only if both sides delete it permanently.
Why did we implement this?
Because several users in the past deleted our mutual conversations after they had been caught lying or using insults simply to make the evidence disappear once they ran out of arguments.
This new system prevents that behavior.
No one can silently erase history for the other side anymore.
✔️ You can search in Trash
✔️ You can restore messages
✔️ You can permanently delete only your own copy
✔️ The other partys copy always remains untouched
Transparency, fairness, and protection against manipulation matter.
New proccess - Adding a new dog
We have just added a new feature to the Pedigree Database that significantly improves the process of adding a new dog and checking for possible duplicates.
When you enter a dog name such as:
SCAR KNL'S SHEENA BLACK
the system does not search only for the exact full name. Instead, it also looks for all dogs that contain any part of this name
for example SCAR, KNL'S, SHEENA, or BLACK. This is intentional, to make sure that no possible existing record is overlooked. Because of this, the initial search can sometimes return thousands or even tens of thousands of results.
To make this step clearer and faster, we have added:
✔ Pagination easy browsing through large result lists
✔ Refined search inside the results you can now further narrow the list by entering, for example, SHEENA BLACK, which will usually lead directly to the exact match
This makes it much easier to verify whether the dog already exists in the database, or to quickly confirm that it does not exist yet and should be added as a new entry. The whole registration process is now faster, more precise, and more user-friendly, even when working with very large datasets.
🚨 New protection against duplicate entries in Pedigree Database
According to the rules of our Pedigree Database (https://pedigree.gamedogs.cz
), creating duplicate dog records is not allowed. Unfortunately, in practice this rule is often ignored and the same dogs (or very similar ones) are entered multiple times under slightly modified names.
To help keep the database clean and accurate, we have now implemented a new control system that automatically checks newly added or edited dogs and detects possible duplicates. If a potential duplicate is found, the user is warned and, if they still decide to continue, the administrator is notified for manual review.
This improvement will help us:
reduce duplicate records
improve pedigree accuracy
keep the database trustworthy for breeders and researchers

We have just launched a brand new feature that allows you to submit certificate requests for an entire litter at once not only for a single dog.
✔ Select puppies directly from the litter
✔ See immediately which ones meet all requirements
✔ Fill in Owner and Breeder individually for each puppy
✔ Get a clear summary and confirm everything before sending
✔ One email = one complete request for the whole litter
This saves a lot of time, eliminates errors, and makes the whole process faster and more comfortable for breeders.
